Creme Egg campagin- How do you eat yours?

Simple you might think; remove wrapper, eat chocolate bar.  Think again!

Ever since Cadbury launched the ‘how do you eat yours’ Creme Egg campaign in 1985, and probably long before, people the world over have chosen to develop their own individual ways of enjoying and savouring their favourite chocolate brands.

Favoured eating methods

Are you a bit odd when it comes to how you go about eating your favourite chocolate bar or treat?  See if you recognise a bit of yourself in some of the weird and wonderful ways people choose to savour their favourite chocolate snacks.

Cadbury Creme Egg

Egg and soldiers: Remove wrapper, place in egg cup, cut or bite off the top of the egg, eat fondant filling with spoon and/ or use Cadbury Fingers as dipping soldiers.  Eat chocolate shell.
Bite and lick:
Bite the top off the egg, suck out the insides, lick out any remnants of fondant and then pop the remaining chocolate in your mouth in one go.
An extra tipple for adults:
Bite the top off the egg, suck out the goo, mash up remaining chocolate shell and mix with a dash of Grand Marnier

Strange food combinations

golden syrup and cheese,
jam and cheese
marmite and philidelphia
apple and cheese
Mc Donalds milkshakes + French fries
Humous and chocolate chips.
Steak & Oreos

Suggested Uses The key factor that makes salad cream a utopian sauce is that it can be made part of any meal, either as a replacement for mayo, or even where mayo would not normally be considered. Its flavour enhancing properties mean that it complements almost any food stuff. Some popular examples are:
* Ham sandwich
* Cold pizza
* Chips
* Fish finger sandwich
 * Mashed potato
* Salad cream sandwich with no butter

Pot Noodle

The Slag of All Snacks campaign

Although the campaign was band I think the campaign worked so well because it was honest and made fun of itself. Although some people found it controversial I think the language was something that connected to people because they found it funny. I want to create the same kind of impact using some kind of tagline/message with the Salad Cream.

Urban Dictionary- CONDIMENTS

1. condiment shot 3 up, 2 down

A shot of a condiment, such as ketchup or mustard, sucked out of the small unit packages that one gets from fast food restaurants.
While driving, it's convenient to have a condiment shot of ketchup after eating your fries.
2. Condiment plasma 3 thumbs up

Thin watery condiment-colored fluid that accumulates on the top of ketchup or mustard. Also known as pre-mustard or pre-ketchup.
Related to condiment serum.
I made a killer ham sandwich yesterday only to ruin it with a load of condiment plasma from the mustard all over the bread.
3. condiment whore 22 up, 7 down

This is someone who comes to the drive through window and asks for more of everything that is free, such as more plasticware, paper plates, ketchup, dipping sauces, salt, pepper, honey, butter, and anything else that is generally given out for free.
Crazed Asian Women: "I want more honey, plates, forks, spoons and napkins."
KFC Worker 1: "OK, but I don't know why you need all that, all you ordered was a small mash potatoes."
Crazed Asain Women: "Just give it to me"
KFC Worker 1 to KFC Worker 2: "Dude she was a condiment whore"
4. condiment intolerant 1 up, 2 down

When ordering food, being against having any condiments added by the food preparer, instead preferring to get the condiments on the side so that they can be added at one's own specific desired amount.
Jerry: "Can you just put some light mayo and yellow mustard in two separate little containers on the side?"

Sandwich maker: "ahh.. yea, I guess I can do that for you. You must be condiment intolerant, eh?"

5. Pre-condiment 2 up, 1 down

The clear liquid that comes out of the bottle ahead of the ketchup or mustard.
I shot a big load of pre-condiment all over that burger.

I looked at urban dictionary just for a some humoruous quotes and definitions about condiments and I found some quite good ones. I really like the idea of using terms that people can relate to like pre-condiment and condiment whore, I think this could be fun to work with the idea of someone being obsessed with sauces.

Heinz Salad Cream

Poster designs

I think these posters make the product appear natual and organic because of the imagery and colour palette but I don't think they would appeal specifically to a younger audience although they wouldn't not just don't target them directly. I do like the simplicity of these but think there needs to be as tronger message that comes across.

Suggested recipes

On the website they have come up with some recipe to incorporate Salad Cream into more creative food rather just standard sandwiches etc. They have tried to be innovative and experimental so people think about what they could use it with.
